The Lord's Day

Just because some theologians refer to the Lord's Day and mean Sunday (as in Canon 29 mentioned above) is "Sunday" really the Lord's Day? NO.

When John wrote "I was in the spirit on the Lord's Day" (rev 1:10), some believe he meant "Sunday" -- Wrong. here's proof:

TWICE before in his writings John had the occasion to refer to "Sunday" and he did so by calling it "the first day of the week." See John 20:1 and 20:19.

Was John "more inspired" when he wrote the book of Revelation than he was when he wrote his Gospel? ...hardly

"Sunday" to John was no more than the common "first day of the week" Saturday was "The Lord's Day". See Matthew 12:8.
