Mrs. Hilda Andre Jones, 81, of 316 E. Frye died at 5:30 a.m. yesterday in Americana Nursing Center where she was admitted Feb. 20.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cumerford-Endsley Memorial Home. The Rev. Leo Ewing of Forest Hill United Methodist church will officiate, and burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the memorial home.
She was born in Hartsburg on June 30, 1894, a daugher of Claus and Hilka Rodenbeck Van Gerpen. She married Dale Andre in September 1914 at Hartsburg. He died in 1950 in Peoria. She married Laurel Jones Oct. 16, 1954. He died in Peoria Nov. 5, 1955.
Mrs. Jones had been a buyer for ladies ready-to-wear department at Montgomery Ward for many years, retiring in 1959.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Philip (Bette) Farmer of Peoria and Mrs. Dan (Ruth) Knepp of Salem, Va.; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews and two stepsons, Larry and Franklin Jones, both in Mississippi.
Four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
