Walter Knepp
Peoria - Walter E. Knepp, 85, formerly of 5919 N. Trenton Lane, died at
11:06 am Thursday, Dec. 26, 1995, at the Apostolic Christian Home.
Born April 16, 1910, in Peoria to Daniel and Sophie Bechtel Knepp, he married
Ruth K. Pflederer on April 4, 1937, in Tremont. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Margo Bruce of Coal Valley and Kathy
LeBreton of Bloomington; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one
sister, Marie Adams of Lincolndale, N.Y.; and one brother, Dan of Salem, Va.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
A Caterpillar Inc. employee for 47 years, he retired from the general office
Purchasing Department in 1975. After retiring, he was a volunteer in
mathematics in several Peoria elementary schools.
He was a member of Sheridan Road Apostolic Christian Church, where services
will be at 10 a.m. Thursday. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will
be from 5 to 8 tonight at Wilton Mortuary, and one hour before services at
the church. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery in
Peoria.
Memorials may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home in Peoria or its
Building Fund.
