PROPHECY -- CAN IT PASS THE TEST?

This is one of those topics that people either just set aside, or discount the moment they hear the word. We're going to tremain open minded for the moment and see exactly how much this stuff can be trusted.

For the time being we'll use prophecy as the base line for determining if what the Bible has to say is worth listening to, primarily because with prophecy so much can go wrong. If prophecy just flat out fails, we're set to move on. Of any prophecy that is just general or vague we'll be skeptical and elect the option to discount it as coincidence. Those that are specific in nature we will examine in detail.

Due to the nature of some of the prophecys, some background information will need to be covered (and confirmed, if necessary) in order to make more sense of what we examine. In these cases we will put a mental finger on a time, date, number, idea, or whatever else becomes necessary. The new material will be introduced and we'll jump back into gear with a solid foundation.
